Agreement Form




Background

Dzuwa Liwale Arts Festival is an annual festival
organized by Dzuwa Arts. The festival was launched in 2022. The aims of the
festival are among others; To bring
together people from different arts disciplines and showcase our talents and
skills
, to promote arts groups and
individual artists by giving them a platform to expose their talents
, to act as a bridge and point of contact for
arts practitioners to share ideas, experiences, links and promote networking at
the end of it all.
The vision of Dzuwa Liwale Arts Festival is to become an international arts festival
where local and international talents will be showcased, celebrated and
awarded.





The 2025
Festival


This year’s
festival will be held at Kamuzu Institute Hall in Lilongwe on Saturday, 12th July, 2025.
We may extend to Sunday, 13th July, 2025 depending on the
availability of funds. Proper communication will be made. Dzuwa Liwale Arts
Festival is not a competition. Dzuwa Liwale Arts Festival is just a platform
where artists will showcase their artistic skills to the world of arts.




Agreements

1.
We have approached different individuals and companies for sponsorship
and partnership. We currently haven’t secured any. The funds we have therefore
may not be able to cater for things such as transportation, food and
performance fees for participants/performers. The participants shall therefore
meet own transportation (to and from the
venue
). Dzuwa Arts will only give the performers a platform to perform.

2.
A drama performance will be allocated 50 minutes. Poets and singers will
be given 15 minutes of performance. Standup comedians will be given 20 minutes.

3.
Performing group will be charged any amount of money for registration
and food. Performing group requires to pay MK15,000 for 10people, singers ,dancersb
and poets k7,000.

4.
10 people from each performing group will be allowed free entry. Extra
people will pay the entry fee.

5.
For singers who will need extra people for backing, one extra person
will be allowed free entry, for dancers 5 people will eanter for free.

6.
All theatre/drama groups will be required to submit the title of the
play that they will perform at the festival. They will fill an extra form
indicating the stage design, lighting design and any other forms/designs of
technical issues such as sound. All performing groups will be required to send
atleast two people - Stage Manager and/or Director (whether artistic or
technical director) two weeks before the festival to have deliberations on
stage designs and other technical issues. This meeting will be held at the
venue of the festival.

7.
For communication, participants will be required to use the following
